2 Various options of booting the server from GRUB Prompt
3 Upgrade Firmware of various components
- Operating System
4 Various Methods of OS Deployment (Disk or Kickstart)
5 Configuration and administration of Kickstart Server
6 Knowledge of various disk based file-systems (ext2/ext3)
7 Knowledge of nework based file-systems (NFS)
8 Knowledge of pseudo filesystems (swapfs, tempfs, cachefs)
9 Manage core-dumps
10 Knowledge of impletementing quota on the file-systems
11 Knowledge of atleast one Volume Manager (LVM or VxVM)
12 Knowledge of Various Raid Configuration (RAID 0/1/5/0+1/1+0)
13 Patch Cluster on the Operating Systems.
14 Filtering the access using IP Tables
15 Configuration and administration of NFS Server
16 Knowledge of mounting the file-systems using AutoFS
17 Management and Troubleshooting of atleast one Centralised Authentication Service (NIS, NIS+, LDAP)
18 Knowledge of Online/Offline backup methods using native utilitis.
19 Knowledge of atleast one Cluster technology (Linux Cluster or HP Service Gurad)
20 Print-Server Configuration and Administration
21 Troubleshooting Experience
22 Basic Shell Scripting
Network Administration
23 Knowledge Class-A, B, C Networks
24 Configuration of NICs bonding
25 L1+ Knowledge in atleast in HPUX in addition to Linux
26 Knowledge of both Volume Managers (LVM and VxVM)
27 Knowledge of both cluster technologies (Linux Cluster and HP Service Guard)
